Our tie-dyes are unique. Each is hand dyed in brilliant colourfast Procion MX dyes for very bright kids. Tie-dyes are fun and suprisingly practical. (Nobody will notice that banana stain!) Consider it affordable worn art.

The Procion dyes we use have been in industrial and craft use since the 1950's. Unlike other dyes the colours are actually bonded to the cotton at a molecular level so the clothes will not bleed or fade. They are very safe and non-toxic.

Over time I have developed a range of tie-dye styles which are to an extent predictable and a range of colour combinations which work well. The beauty of hand dyed work is however that no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. I am still prepared for surprises every time I unwrap the finished pieces. It's a bit like Christmas really!
