Sleeping Position
Recent international research into the effects of sleeping position on infant health has established it to be safer for most babies under one year of age to be placed to sleep on their backs, or on their sides with the lower shoulder forward, particularly on modern soft bedding.

Bowron, therefore, recommends that babies under one year of age not be placed to sleep on their front on Bowron Babycare.

Babies can lie directly on the Babycare Lambskin so that the soft wool touches their skin. Some parents, however, prefer to place a folded napkin under baby’s head to protect the lambskin from minor spills or to protect baby in case she rolls onto her stomach during sleep.

Thermal Control
Bowron Babycare Lambskins may be used all year round and in a variety of applications.

When used as an item of bedding, the wool will keep your baby warm and cosy in cold weather. In hot weather, wool has the ability to absorb moisture which is then released into the air, leaving baby drier and more comfortable.

However, because of the superb insulating properties of wool, parents are advised that they can generally use less clothing, less bedding and lower room temperatures when using Babycare, to avoid overheating their baby while sleeping.
