Lullaby is the classic breastfeeding posture. Teddy will be in this position
in the sling when I finish |
The sling is loosely adjusted pulled out wide, the rings are on the crest
of the shoulder. Lift the baby up . Move slowly. |
His head in the crook of your arm, his bottom in your hand, slide him
into the hammock you have made |
The hand supporting the baby is still in the sling, the other hand is
checking that he has material all round him.If his head seems too near
the edge of your body at this stage, hoosh him along the hammock a bit.
His feet may stick out the other side if he is long. |
Swop supporting hands, wiggle out the arm in the sling. |
Replace the original support arm, this time outside the material. Lift
up the baby's weight with that hand while the other hand pulls the strap
to tighten the sling up |
Feels ok? |
Yay! No hands! |
To loosen up, support the baby, grasp the lower ring and lift it up. You
may need to wiggle it a bit to get it to loosen. |
