Cosy Frog is straight up and down on your chest, similar to a conventional
carrier position. This is how Teddy will be inside the sling |
"Post " the baby through the sling, positioning him where you want him.To
keep newborn babies from slipping to one side, you can lean backwards
slightly and let gravity support him on you chest |
One hand keeping the baby in place, use the other hand to pull the upper
padded edge of the sling from under your arm and across his upper body.
For a little baby the upper edge of the sling is at ear level, supporting
his neck |
Work a little of the bottom padded edge between you and the baby. Very
new babies scoop the material under his feet. ""Uncurled" babies, get
the fabric on the back of his thighs |
Support the baby and tighten up the strap |
You will find the lower edge is nice and snug but the upper edge is still
loose. At this stage you can adjust the little "bucket" you have made
for the lower body |
Pull some extra from the upper padded edge through the rings |
Like this. Notice you can pull the padded part through if you need to |
Rummage among the pleats that run down to the strap and find the edge
that continues down from the padding. Pull this to secure the upper edge
adjustment through the second ring |
Voilà |

Loosen by first getting the two padded edges back in line, that is undo
the extra tightening. |
Lift the lower ring and wiggle it loose while supporting the baby of course.
|
Pull the sling up from the baby, keep holding the baby. |
And here he is, still asleep. Alternately up can loosen up the sling and
while holding the baby let it drop to the floor. |
